Dermaga ferry Palambahen selama ini menggunakan dermaga dari bahan kayu namun kini mendapat dukungan dari Kementerian Perhubungan dan diwujudkan dalam kondisi yang berdiri kokoh standart layaknya dermaga penyeberangan pada umumnya dan sambutan masyarakat cukup baik dengan adanya dermaga berbahan dasar beton ini. Sebelumnya dermaga ini sudah selesai dibangun baik lokasi kanan dan kiri sungai namun pada sisi kanan belum sempat dioperasikan dermaga ini roboh namun tanggung jawab pemborong maka akhirnya dermaga ini selesai dibangun dan siap dioperasikan. Suparno salah seoroang nahkoda ferry menuturkan bahwa ferry di palambahen hanya berjumlah 2 ferry dengan daya angkut kendaraan roda 4 sebanyak 5 buah dan dengan di operasikan dermaga baru ini sangat menyambut baik. Suparno juga menyampaikan bahwa selama ini ferry Palambahen beroperasi menggunakan dermaga kayu dan kondisinya sudah sangat rapuh serta banyak kesulitan yang terjadi namun kini dermaga baru juga telah dapat dinikmati dengan baik walaupun pada sisi seberang dermaga masih tahap finalisasi setelah ambruk beberapa waktu lalu. |
