Suarakahayannews, PALANGKA RAYA – Institut Agama Islam Negeri (IAIN) Palangka Raya telah memiliki dua Guru Besar (profesor). Keduanya Prof Dr Hj Hamdanah MAg dan Prof Dr H Abdul Qodir MPd.
Pascapencapaian itu, Abdul Qodir kemudian mendapat penyesuaian jabatan dari Kementerian Pendidikan Nasional (Kemdiknas) melalui Surat Keputusan Nomor 115593/MPK/KP/2020 yang ditetapkan Menteri Pendidikan Nasional Nadiem Anwar Makarim, 19 Nopember 2020.
Tambahan pendidik dengan klasifikasi profesor ini mendapat apresiasi Rektor IAIN Dr H Khairil Anwar MAg. Dikatakan Rektor, pihaknya sangat bangga terhadap pencapaian Abdul Qodir tersebut.
“Penambahan Guru Besar ini memperkuat institusi IAIN Palangka Raya dan sejalan dengan upaya kita menaikkan status menjadi UIN,” terang Khiril Anwar kepada wartawan, Sabtu (5/11/2020).
Ditambahkan Rektor, pencapaian tersebut juga menjadi motivasi pihaknya untuk mengusulkan pembukaan program studi (Prodi) Strata 3 (S3) di IAIN Palangka Raya.

Abdul Qodir merupakan pengajar mata kuliah Metodologi Penelitian pada Fakultas Tarbiyah dan Ilmu Keguruan (FTIK) serta Program Studi Pascasarjana IAIN Palangka Raya.
Di samping menjadi pendidik, Abdul Qodir juga aktif sebagai Bendahara Pengurus Wilayah Muhammadiyah Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah. ( st/red )
