Walikota Palangka Raya, Fairid Naparin melalui Kepala DPKUKMP Samsul Rizal mengatakan bahwa Operasi Pasar Khusus Beras Siam yang saat ini dilakukan bentuk perhatian Pemerintah Kota Palangka Raya terhadap warga, di tengah melonjaknya harga beras. Samsul Rizal juga berharap dengan adanya subsidi yang diberikan oleh pemerintah sebesar Rp. 30.000/sak/5kg dapat meringankan beban warga.
“Hari ini kami berada di kelurahan Menteng bersama bu lurah, kami atas nama pemerintah kota Palangka Raya mewakili Fairid Naparin, berkomitmen untuk membantu warga dalam hal ini meringankan beban di beras, beras yang semula seharga Rp.80.000 untuk 5 kg, dijual pemerintah kota Palangka Raya seharga Rp. 50.000. Artinya pemerintah kota Palangka Raya melalui Walikota Palangka Raya Farid Nafarin memberikan subsidi Rp. 30.000 dan ini adalah komitmen beliau dalam program-program salah satu untuk peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat,” ucapnya.
Meskipun terbatas, hanya 500 sak yang disediakan pemerintah kota Palangka Raya, ia berharap bisa mencukupi untuk warga yang ada di Kelurahan Menteng, terutama bagi yang membutuhkan.
“Mudah-mudahan ini cukup ya bu lurah, ini hanya 500 sak, dengan per sak nya 5 kg, mudah-mudahan ini cukup, karena kita terbatas sehingga di kelurahan Menteng hari ini kita hanya 500 sak,” tambahnya.
Samsul Rizal juga menyebut bahwa pihaknya dalam waktu dekat akan kembali mengadakan Operasi Pasar Khusus Beras Siam di beberapa kelurahan di kota setempat.
“Dan ini akan kita laksanakan lagi di beberapa kelurahan, terutama di kelurahan Pahandut dan kelurahan Kameloh Baru dan Bereng Bengkel, tentu jumlahnya pun kami sesuaikan dengan beberapa warga di sana,” pungkasnya. *.*
