SKNEWS, Surabaya,- Hasil kolaborasi antara Kodam V/Brawijaya dan Pemkab Sumenep terkait silase jagung, ternyata mampu tembus hingga ke Korea Selatan.
Jagung Silase ialah pakan ternak yang dihasilkan dari fermentasi batang, daun dan buah jagung. Penggunaan silase jagung itu, dapat meningkatkan kualitas pakan, untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kualitas dan kuantitas daging sapi.
Demikian dikatakan Pangdam V/Brawijaya Mayjen TNI Farid Makruf pada pemberangkatan ekspor perdana jagung silase ke Korea Selatan yang dilakukan di Lapangan Ahmad Yani Makodam V/Brawijaya, Surabaya. Jumat (17/11/2023) pagi.
“Silase jagung ini juga bisa membantu mengatasi masalah kelangkaan pakan hijauan,” bagi ternak dan merupakan ekspor pertama jagung silase di jajaran TNI kata Pangdam.
Kolaborasi antara Kodam Brawijaya, Pemkab Sumenep dan PT CKT saat ini, telah mampu menghasilkan ekspor perdana. “Namun, untuk melanjutkan dan memperbesar upaya ini, kita butuh kolaborasi dari seluruh stakeholder yang terlibat,” ucap Mayjen TNI Farid.
Tak tanggung-tanggung, Pangdam mengungkapkan saat ini seluas 129 hektar lahan telah digunakan untuk pengembangan silase jagung tersebut. Meski membuahkan hasil, dirinya menegaskan jika pengembangan dan produktivitas dan pengelolaan lahan harus terus ditingkatkan.
