SKNews, Pulang Pisau – Untuk mendorong optimalisasi pengembangan Food Estate dari hulu hingga hilir berbasis kelembagaan korporasi, khususnya percepatan dan peningkatan luas tanam padi di Food Estate, Menteri Pertanian Syahrul Yasin Limpo (Mentan SYL) mengunjungi di Kabupaten Pulang Pisau Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah.
Adapun yang hadir pada kegiatan Kunjungan tersebut ialah Menteri pertanian Sdr. Syahrul limpo beserta staf, Wakil gubernur Kalteng H. Edy Pratowo, S. Sos, Kapolres pulang Pisau AKBP kurniawan Hartono S.I.K, Kepala Dinas Pertnaian Kab. Pulang pisau Sdr. Godfridson beserta Staff, Kapolsek Pandih Batu Iptu Husni Setiawan beserta anggota, Kades gadabung, PPL Desa dan Para Kelompok Tani dan Tokoh Masyarakat sekitar.
Dilansir dari kabar humasrespol pulpis bahwa pengembangan food estate bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi beras, nilai tambah dan kesejahteraan petani.
Kapolres Pulang Pisau AKBP Kurniawan Hartono, S.I.K., mengatakan bahwa Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk meninjau sejauh mana Program Pemerintah yang telah berjalan dan untuk mengetahui kendala serta hambatan apa saja didalam menjalankan Program Pemerintah.
“Hal terpenting dari pengembangan Food Estate yang ada di Kalimantan Tengah khususnya di Kabupaten Pulang Pisau adalah perbedaan lahan dengan Pulau Jawa, Sulawesi dan Sumatera. Lahan di Kalimantan adalah lahan rawa, yang memiliki tantangan air 20 sampai 30 cm. Walaupun kita sudah siapkan irigasinya, tapi tiba-tiba hujan tapi nanti tergenang air sehingga tanam di atas air seperti agroponik,” ujar Kapolres.
Percepatan peningkatan luas tanam padi di Food Estate Kabupaten Pulang Pisau ini harus kita lakukan. Kita akan kolaborasi dengan pemerintah kabupaten, agar target penanaman padi tercapai.
Pada kunjungan ini, Mentan SYL tak hanya meninjau area pertanaman padi, namun juga melakukan pengembangan komoditas tanaman pangan, hortikultura, peternakan, perkebunan.
Bahkan Mentan SYL sudah mengunjungi area tanaman padi di lokasi ekstensifikasi di tahun anggaran 2021 dengan seluas 66 ha di Desa Sanggang Kecamatan Pandih Batu Kabupaten Pulang Pisau, Kalimantan Tengah. Indeks Pertanaman (IP) padi di lokasi tersebut sudah 3 kali tanam dalam setahun.*.*
