SKNEWS – SERUYAN – Anggota DPRD Kabupaten Seruyan, Harry Darmawan menyatakan bahwa masyarakat di daerah pemilihan (dapil III) mengharapkan pemerintah daerah dapat membangun irigasi persawahan, agar hasil pertanian padi dapat mengalami peningkatan.
Dikatakannya, ada dua desa di Dapil III Seruyan yang mengharapkan pembangunan irigasi itu, desa Tanjung Paku dan Tumbang Hentas. Sebab, sampai sekarang ini, irigasi masih kurang baik mengaliri air ke persawahan milik masyarakat.
“Harapan itu disampaikan pada saat melaksanakan reses ke dapil II beberapa waktu lalu,” kata Harry di Kuala Pembuang, Rabu, (02/02/2022).
Politisi Demokrasi Indonesia Perjuangan itu menambahkan, saluran irigasi sangat penting untuk menunjang peningkatan hasil panen padi. Dengan adanya drainase yang memadai, maka petani tidak perlu takut lahan pertanian kebanjiran pada saat curah hujan tinggi.
“Kalau sudah ada irigasi, maka lahan pertanian milik masyarakat dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal,” kata Harry. (Said/ Red)
