PALANGKA RAYA, SKNEWS – Sehubungan dengan berakhirnya masa Penerapan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar (PSBB) di Kota Palangka Raya, Kalimantan Tengah yang diketahui dimulai sejak tanggal 11 hingga 24 Mei 2020, Gubernur Kalteng, Sugianto Sabran menyampaikan kepada Walikota Palangka Raya tentang hasil rapat evaluasi penerapan PSBB di Kota tersebut oleh Gugus Tugas Percepatan Penanganan Covid-19 Kalteng.
“Bersama Tim pakar Epidemiologi yang berasal dari perhimpunan ahli Epidemiologi Indonesia Cabang Palangka Raya dan Tim Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Palangka Raya pada rapat tanggal 23 Mei 2020 kemarin, disimpulkan bahwa penerapan PSBB di Kota Palangka Raya direkomendasikan untuk dilanjutkan,” ungkapnya, Minggu (24/5/2020).
Diuraikan orang nomor satu di Bumi Tambun Bungai tersebut, dasar pertimbangan kencenderungan kasus konfirmasi positif di Kota Palangka Raya cenderung mengalami pertambahan yaitu sebanyak 55 konfirmasi positif pada tanggal 11 Mei 2020 menjadi 77 konfirmasi positif pada tanggal 23 Mei 2020.
Gubernur juga menegaskan dan memperhatikan bahwa hasil evaluasi tersebut agar Walikota mempertimbangkan perpanjangan penerapan PSBB di Kota Palangka Raya dengan mempertajam penerapannya pada skala kelurahan zona merah.
“Kalau keputusan untuk tidak memperpanjang penerapan PSBB dikhawatirkan menimbulkan persepsi di masyarakat bahwa kasus Covid-19 tidak ada lagi di Palangka Raya, sehingga akan berpotensi menimbulkan semakin meningkatnya kasus konfirmasi positif di Kota Palangka Raya,” tegasnya.[dy/red]
