Danramil 1014 – 08/Jelai Lettu Inf Supriono menjelaskan, tujuan pemasangan spanduk himbauan ini adalah untuk mengantisipasi dan mencegah terjadinya kebakaran hutan dan lahan khususnya di wilayah Koramil Jelai.
“Pemasangan himbauan pencegahan karhutla ini adalah upaya pencegahan dini terhadap kebakaran hutan dan lahan dengan memberi peringatan kepada masyarakat mengenai daerah-daerah yang rawan terjadinya kebakaran”, jelas Danramil.
Danramil menambahkan, dalam mencegah kebakaran hutan dan lahan personel Koramil Jelai tidak hanya memasang spanduk himbauan, tetapi para Babinsa juga melaksanakan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mulai dari tingkat desa hingga di tingkat kecamatan.
